How to get a duplicate title for my vehicle

If the vehicle was last titled in a state other than Alaska, you must apply for a duplicate title in the previous state where the vehicle was last titled.The registered owner of the vehicle should complete the following steps:
  1.  Complete the Alaska Lost or Stolen Title Affidavit.
  2.  If the vehicle has a lien, obtain a lien release from the lien holder.
  3. You can choose to do one of the following options: Bring the documentation above to your local Alaska DMV office, or, Mail a letter to the Alaska division of motor vehicles at:
