How to sign your Kentucky title when selling your vehicle

Important: Kentucky titles may need to be notarized

The registered owner of the vehicle should do the following:
  1. Always sign the back of the title where indicated by “Transferor(s) signature”. This may need to be done in front of a legal notary.
  2. Secondly have the title notarized if required.
If there is more than one owner of the vehicle, both must sign the title.Click to enlarge
