How to sign your Oregon title when selling your vehicle

The registered owner of the vehicle must complete the following easy steps:
  1. Always, print (don’t sign) your name on the back of the title where it reads “SELLER’S PRINTED NAME”.
  2. Second, sign the back of the title where indicated by “Signature”.

How to get a duplicate title for my vehicle

If the vehicle was last titled in a state other than Oregon, you must apply for a duplicate title in the previous state in which the vehicle was last titled.The registered owner of the vehicle must complete the following items:
  1. Fill out the Oregon Application for Replacement Title.
  2. You can choose to do one of the following options: Bring your duplicate title application to the Oregon DMV office, or, Mail your application to the OR division of motor vehicles at:
